Starting a family is an experience. As an individual or a couple, it is a decision of commitment. Sometimes, a little help is needed to start a family. We have made the decision to commit ourselves to ensuring you achieve your dream of having your own family. Infertility is the inability of a woman to get pregnant after trying for about 6 months to a year. The reason could be mild one where treatment could range from taking pills to minor surgery.
In some cases, Assisted Reproductive Techniques would be required. Infertility affects both males and females. Delay is not denial. You may have been trying to get pregnant for a while and nothing seems to be working. Our goal as a fertility clinic is to assist you in having a family of your own. We assess, determine the reason behind the challenge you are facing and provide you with a solution.
Delay in conceiving often exerts emotional strains on both males and females regardless of the reason behind it. Emotions such as confusion, dejection, anger and sadness may be present especially when the female has been trying to get pregnant for a long time.
Next, we run a series of tests to determine the cause of the challenge. The first infertility investigations are pretty much standard and are carried out to determine if the cause of infertility is a minor challenge that requires only minor treatment.
IN Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
IVF is a form of Assisted Reproductive Techniques. We extract eggs from the female patient. A sperm sample is obtained from the spouse or a donor. The egg and sperm cells are put in a petri dish and allowed to fertilize.
In Vitro Maturation (IVM)
In some cases, an IVM procedure is performed an IVF procedure to ensure an even higher rate of success. For an In Vitro Maturation procedure, the eggs undergo maturation outside the body. They are extracted from the female and allowed to develop outside the body.
Intra Cystoplasmic Sperm Injection(ICSI)
During an ICSI procedure, one sperm cell is injected directly into the egg. This enhances fertilization. We often recommend ICSI for sperm related cases. It could be due to low sperm count, abnormal sperm shape etc.
Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI)
IUI is a less invasive procedure. It involves injecting the cell into the female’s womb at the most fertile point during her menstrual cycle. In some cases, this fertility treatment is all that is needed.
Testicular Sperm Extraction (TESE)
During TESE sperm is extracted from the testis via a biopsy. The sperm sample acquired through TESE is considered to be of superior quality than a sample collected via TESA.
Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA)
TESA is a procedure whereby sperm is extracted directly from a male patient the testis or epididymis using a needle. We often use it in conjunction with IVF and ICSI treatment.
We use cryopreservation to preserve embryos for future use too. If more than one egg was fertilized during an IVF cycle, a patient may decide to have the other embryo for future use.
For a pregnancy to be successful, the shell covering the embryo (the Zona pellucida) must hatch. During embryo hatching, a point of the Zona pellucida is weakened by an embryologist.
Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD)
This process involves avoiding passing unwanted inherited traits to the child. When the embryo has developed to a certain stage, our embryologists perform a trophectoderm biopsy to get rid of the traits.
Gestational Carrier – Surrogacy Program
Due to medical or personal reasons, a patient may decide not to carry a pregnancy to term. We offer a Gestational carrier program where our gestational surrogates carries the pregnancy for you.
